The road to personal discovery is a long and unending one. I have yet to reach a point in life where I feel I know everything there is to know about myself. I am continuously evolving and adapting to the world around me. I learn from life on a daily basis. I learn something from the most innocent of conversations, and without warning a new personal discovery hits me right between the eyes.
I have learned to take care of my own health and wellness. This enables me to take even better care of those around me. I have learned that with this personal care comes additional patience and understanding of the people around me.
The most crucial personal discovery in my life, was the acceptance of my own personal responsibility for the life I am living today. I realised I could blame no one for my life choices, but that I could take responsibility for my own life choices. That realisation was life altering for me. Personal discovery can mean many things for many people. What does it mean for you?

For Health and Wellness
How do we take care of ourself? Health and wellness has become one of the hot topics of this decade. We are being encouraged to consider out health and wellness. To consider our work-life balance. So how much thought do we all give to our health and wellness really? Or are we just talking the talk and not walking the walk?
So where do we start when it comes to addressing our health and wellness? Health and wellness for me includes the following: Diet and Exercise routine, ongoing personal reflection and development and ongoing healthy relationships with the people I have in my life. That feels like a good starting point for me. I do appreciate that for everyone else there may be a different starting point for health and wellness.
And that brings me to another part of this process that feels important. Health and wellness may be something different for everyone. For one person it may just be taking some time out to sit and read a good book, for another person it may be to take a long walk through the park of a saturday morning. For me it is whatever you feel will feed your soul. So here is a question: Where would you start on your own health and wellness program.
